by heather - Taurus

i know that i normally cannot be seen
with my mouth hanging loose,
but i wouldn't mind the company tonight,
my fingers smell like nicotine and regrets
from my four hour old cigarette.
and i know that i normally would not be seen
with my eyes burning wild,
but i wouldn't mind the adrenaline tonight,
a tidal rush of contradictions;
aging skin.

and my songs have to be beautiful
to accompany the symphony of your words.
my poems have to be insatiable
to satisfy the appetite of your eyes.

i know that i normally cannot be seen
with my mind screaming out loud,
but i wouldn't mind the release tonight,
to find a calm as liquid ivory as your skin.
and i wouldn't mind your caress tonight, even with
nicotine,
regrets,
adrenaline,
addiction.

Reason for writing:

    raging crush, too much life.
