After you told me
How she acts around you
This has been
all I can see
I am sorry
But I can’t help
The jealousy
You
Going busily about your work
Her
Batting her eyelashes
Giggling at every joke
You make
Watching
every move
Touching you
only as I would
but not quite
Looking into your eyes
Telling you
How much she misses
The old days.
Then I think
What reason do I have
To feel so insecure
when
Deep inside
I know
I am the only one
That can look into your eyes
And see your sweet soul
I know
I am the only one
Who can take your breath away
With one touch
A thousand
Meaningless giggles
Or flirty eyelashes
Can compare to my stare
Or the tenderness
And the love behind
My touches.
Imagine what jealousy could do
To a love that is not quite
So strong.
Reason for writing:
My boyfriend just started working again(his work closes for the winter and reopens in spring). He works with his ex, whom, on the first day they were open was acting like they had never broke up. He came and told me about it. And I became jealous, this is how I feel about it.
