A Race With No Personality

by Heather Williams - Libra

Flipping the channels on a lazy afternoon
Some lame award show is on again
I couldn't even tell you the categories
Or the people that have the nominations
It's all about the looks and the money
How much will you pay
To look like everybody else?
How much time will you spend?
How many hours will you spend
In front of the mirror?
Yes, I know they are pretty...
But damn it to hell, so are you!
They can walk around
Their looks will go to hell
You can lose your looks but you can't lose yourself
There is more to life than sex appeal
And how little you can wear in public
If the world were blind nobody would care
People would win awards based on talents

Reason for writing:

I think I've made my point. I just want to say that I am glad I can't see any of you on here. I feel good knowing that people here appreciate talent on here and not how good or bad a person looks. :)
