Looking For Rainbows

by Heather Williams - Libra

I am finally moving on
I threw away 18 years of my life
I was happy with knowing that I don't have to live like this
I don't have to be a child anymore
I know what comes with the territory
I don't want a lecture
I just want a rainbow
No, I do not want the pot of gold
I just want the colors and the beauty
Walking out the back door with blue bags of trash
I saw the sun shining onto dark gray clouds
When I leave this home and I am on my own
Will come the rain to make my colors a reality
