Dignity Before Beauty By: Ann M. Hampton You chose your dignity Before the beauty we shared, If only you knew how much I cared. I'll try to move on, but it is hard When the radio still plays the songs. The songs that remind me of you; I wish our love could've turned out to be true. But you chose your dignity Becasue I know you really care, And you'll always remember The beauty we shared. You've touched my heart In ways only you could, And inspired my life Like only you would. Thanks for the time, THe memories, The friendship doesn't stop there, For a true friend, I am, I'll always care. I wish you the best In whatever life holds In the palm of his hands Only God knows. I pray he watches over you each day And reminds you, You have a friend here-- True I'll always stay. Whenever you need to talk, An ear I have to lend Because that is what God sent me here for Remember, here, you'll always have a friend.
