I’m sorry you had to die- A child of only ten- A little girl with a future now gone- I’m sorry that hatred killed you- I’m sorry that I couldn’t stop this- Politicians are no more closer to a solution- Then they were 50 years ago- I know what the Israeli’s did to the Palestinians- That, you’ll never hear on TV or the radio- But you were just a child- A child of only ten- Ten at school shot in the head- Ten on the street, raped and left for dead- Ten and nobody saw you grow up- To be a beautiful woman, with a future filled with wonders- I’m sorry- It's a cruel world- With religious fanatics fueled by desperations- And you’re probably not the last one- What the fuck can I do?
Reason for writing:
I'm looking at this world...Was Mark Twain's cynicism of the human race right on? You know, he once was a man of hope and passion, and later in his books and in his personal life, he became withdrawn and dispassionate about humans. Don't know what to say.
