The Day dawns And out towards the east rise the summer sun Bright with firy passion A golden gem in the saphire sky Out across the steady sea she goes rising to her height Lighting the coastline with brilliant beam Warming the wintered herd A gentle breeze blows across the plains to cool her radiant glare its pleasant, birds sing, children play the holidays are on the way It has come at last, the season of joy breaking the cold dark nights with warm bright days Summer is here at last. So, it gives me greatest pride to greet her the summer sun.
Reason for writing:
I like the summer. Winter sucks (apart from when it snows).
