Vampires

by Keg - Leo

The night has fallen across the town
The wings of darkness flutter by
Innocent prey for the demonic fiend
Sleep peacefully in their cripts
Awaiting the breath that cannot blow
The life that is dead
The blood that does not flow
The creature emerges from the black of night
To feed the thirst for thick liquor
The silence as the face turns pale
The life drained from veins
As the creature drinks
Before the morning sun.

A day goes by, sun rise sun set
The darkness reigns once again
From the cript of peaceful sleep
Arises the life that is dead
The blood that does not flow
The Breath that cannot blow
The Creature of the night
The demonic fiend
Fresh from the Kill
Spreads its wings
To flutter by across the town
To bring darkness to those in their peaceful cripts
Before the morning sun.

The night has come and the Vampires roam
