Shade in My Spirit

by Julie/Saggitarius - Aquarius

Fire burns within my soul
The flame as not yet died
Your soothing tears healed my heart
While letting the flame endure inside

My heart bleeds when you dissipate
And my eyes weep tears of despair
My knees go weak as i reminisce
Oh God this is not fair

        Churning blood within my frame
Flesh turns scarlet from my constant craving
The starvation from my inner core
	Stops me from behaving

The auroa you bear induces thrill
The smile you display creates peace
The words you utter hatch vivacious portraits
And the tone of your voice doth make fear cease

I've but one question for you to contemplate
What is love, why is it so great?
To most love is beauty, an art
But doesn't love also break weary hearts?

I need not ponder of love anymore
It will arrive when the moment is right
Take the hue from my vignette
And leave me with the white

Slowly add pigment, and shade in my spirit
Love will slowly stretch its arms
And I, I will not fear it......

Reason for writing:

This poem was inspired by my boyfriend. I was at a point in our relationship where i felt it wasn't working. I feared falling in love. I gave him this poem- which expressed all the feelings that I had. He sweeped me in his arms in the most loving embrace. This poem is stating how i wanted to start over, allow for true love to enter my heart, and he allowed it.
