Once there was a rebellious son, that did not want to do right ! When his father told him the best thing to do, he'd resist his father with all of his might ! So, as the years went on, the son did his "thing," never thinking about the heartache, to his father this did bring ! So, the son left home, to go on his own, and left his father at home, all alone ! To distant countries, this son, he did go, never thinking about his father, who loved him so ! The son gambled and drank, and squandered all that he had, but, still he did not see, that he was so bad ! So, menial work he had to do in order to survive, no servants to jump at his beck and call, he had to work to stay alive ! So, news of his condition, got back to his dad, to get his son back, he'd give all that he had ! So, he ran an ad in the local paper, to get someone to go, to find his son and bring him home, for this father, he loved him so ! So, the first to come was mean and tough, and said, "I'll bring him back to you. The one that can elude by brawn, are very, very few!" But, a few weeks later, he did return, but, he came back alone, he could not bring back this prodigal son, so, he turned and he was gone ! The next to ome was a pretty lady, that said she could seduce him back, but, when she went and found this son, even she could not bring him back ! The next to appear was a very old man, with a beard hanging down in the front, his hair was long, his face was wrinkled, he hobbled along with a moan and a grunt! He told the dad, I can get anyone, as he slowly scratched his head, but, one thing for sure, when I bring him back, your son, he will be dead !!!! No one escapes me, FATHER TIME, I soon catch up with all, And, when I do, I hate to say, they come when I give the call ! So, there is a moral to this story, and I want to pass it along, death catches up to all of us, so, let's do right instead of wrong ! Cletus Hardiman Copyrighted 2001 (all rights reserved)
