Pandora's Box

When the explosion rocked me-
Life sent lessons in a whirling fashion-
Grabbing one of them-
Would have explained a small part of me-

Grey love shouldered my head-
Tried to hold me, when I couldn’t…for myself-
That wasn’t right-
So young with experience unborn-
And stuck with this false impression-
Of what life could have been-
Not poised for this Pandora’s box-
That creaked open-

It was like a drug that piloted my wings-
I flew with out ever landing-
Shouldn’t have been a big surprise-
Crashing with idealism first-
Into treacherous rocky mountains-
