Emptiness By: Ian Kirkpatrick Empty Promises Lies Come, Come in Everyone is welcome in the “House of God” Oh, you’re poor or gay straying From the norm Well maybe this isn’t for you Empty People Excuses You preach these ideals as holy Yet in you life There are none On the surface “Christian” But inside bigot, liar, and hypocrite Empty Lives Nothing Go outside of your holy walls Remove your nose from that manual that you carry Use the knowledge that has been attained For a soul is a terrible thing to waste And a life should be lived Another chance Hope God is merciful By his grace we are given many chances To redeem what has tarnished us in the past So go, set forth into this new day Looking to live by example and not by word “Judge not lest you be judged”
Reason for writing:
I find myself disgusted by the way that some of my fellow “Christians” lives their lives.
Birth sign: Cancer
