Traviling down that lonly highway trying to find some place to stay traviling down that highway, I am still 1000 miles away just trying to get away from that old guitar for a while growing tired of puting on these shows with the same old style Over the distance i heard a tiny voice call out my name now i just want to get away, get away from this fame i have to get back to what really matters to me so now i am heading back home, to the place i need to be I can't wait to see her big brown eyes as they gently stare at the skies I can see the inocence in her face she makes me wish i never had to leave this place I want to stay by her side to be able to hold her close as she cries Now the years pass by but i will still be there by her side this young man hopes to steal her heart away but he does not realise in my heart she will allways stay I made her this promise, "I am here to stay" I gave up the road, after her mother passed away No distance can keep us apart she is allways the light that shines in my heart I was there for her when the skies seemed grey by her side is where i will always stay
