Death

by MoHawk - Leo

Feared by the weak,
Accepted by the strong,
In its inevitability,
It will come along.
No land nor vast sea,
No trial nor test,
Can prevent this force,
From completing its quest.
It sickens what is healthy,
Erases that which lives,
Makes pale what had colour,
It takes what life gives.
No one can escape it,
It cannot be outrun,
And it is unknown exactly,
Which day it will come.
Death plays games with mortals,
Toying with their brain,
It makes them eternally fear,
A forever unknown pain.
I, however, do not fear death,
I do not fear being caught,
For if we live life forever in fear,
We live life not.

Reason for writing:

    Why not?
