Cantata Contradictory (Attempt #1)

by Matthias L. - Capricorn

+ so is this really what you meant +
+ words from different worlds +
+ to flow slowly into one +
+ and as we all interweave +
+ a new name can be made +
+ everything is more than color +
+ on a lifeless ground +
+ a power that inside +
+ through repetition was dissolved +
+ long before red turned to black +
+ in there was a king of kings +
+ taking hold of all the sky +
+ because no one ever looked and said +
+ I think it's time to stop +

 - when you said this is the time -
 - leave united things alone -
 - I made up my mind -
 - I always knew -
 - but hardly could accept -
 - that with our hands -
 - we were to grasp -
 - the harvest of our sorrow -
 - it wasn't easy to believe -
 - similar in evolution -
 - that knew the dreams live on -
 - as one of our duties -
 - without end -

you said words alone flow up
all I can accept
is our lifeless grasp
inside the repetition
easily turned evolution
in a dream of duties
said without time

Reason for writing:

A little experiment of my own... Like in "wordthread" (though not nearly as good) two single "poems" that can be read as one. To spice up things a little, I tried to get one final verse by using one word out of each line in order... especially the latter turned out to be more difficult than I had imagined - like one of those cubes where you have to turn all 9 sides into the same color - one part fits and screws up all the others. So far, it's the "best" solution I could find - maybe you've got a better "solution"? Heck, I even had to cheat a little...
Anyone out there who'd like to team up with me to try a better thing than that one?
