five years old sitting out on the playground you came over and pushed me down I screamed because you cut my knee you said sorry and kissed me on the cheek puppy love seven years old in gym class you called me ugly and made me cry I thought you liked me I didnt understand why you brought me a daisy that you picked I placed it in my hair you kissed my cheek and told me that you cared puppy love thirteen years old high school blues I was devoloping quite fast and I was still in love with you you teased me and made me mad I hated you and told you to get lost when no one was around you apologized puppy love sixteen you asked me out kissing in a parked car you told me you always cared I said I loved you and you said you did to puppy love eighteen our first night together you were nice and gentle and promised ever after you held me all night and the next day when I woke a flower lie on the pillow next to me attached was a little note that said that you loved me puppy love twenty one in college together you cheated and broke my heart tore my life apart I didnt know what to do you said you were sorry brought me a flower for my hair kissed me on the cheek said that you were sorry said that you always cared what we had was much more than puppy love
