When Friendship Dies

by NR - Cancer

Do you know how it feels when friendship dies
It’s a stab through your lungs, and your heart forever cries
You wander the streets at sunset, calling her name
But you know she won’t answer, and only you are to blame

Do you know how it feels to be left alone
Your heart joins your tears to harmonize a bitter tone
All you can do is be surrounded by regret
For she had plenty enough of forgive and forget

And at night when alone you will miss her the most
You’ll have a chain letter on your heart that you don’t know where to post
You’ll cry the night through only begging to sleep
But your pain is to fierce and your sorrow to deep

And at morning you’ll search for comfort somewhere
But you know you’ll find nothing because she’s no longer there
You’ll remember your dreams of her happy as your bride
Because of your mere stupidity your happiness died

By morning you’ll be found probably weeping on the floor
Sun shall rise everywhere except for by your door
When you lose your best friend it’s as painful as it can get
She’ll stay forever in your heart, you will never forget

Reason for writing:

Me and one girl were best friends, untill we split up...then me and the girl I love became very close, untill I lost her as well :-(
