Forever

by Rachel - Cancer

Forever is such a very long time
Maybe I deserve to be left behind.
For you to go find her
And tell her she's the one.
For you to say it's been fun
But for now you're not the one.
For me to wonder what you're buying her
Gold chains, diamonds, rings and thangs.
Trying to think about where it went wrong
And trying to fix it.
You walking away from me took the wonderful thing out of my life called bliss.
Forever is so long
Maybe I deserve
For you to explain that I'm not worthy or the one for you. Couldn't you see that day I met you. That I had a different look in my eyes,
And acted so different and defiant,
And do anything just to be with you.
Forever is such an eternity
Having to love someone forever.
I say Baby you mean the world to me
You said Baby I'll be here forever
When you were packing your bags three weeks later . Saying Baby I'll be back never.
Walking out telling me bye,
Having your child waving bye and saying Daddy why? Couldn't we both say that we'd be together forever? That one word filled with promise exposed what was truly felt. That day when you hit me with the metal part of the belt.Coming home later apologizing like it's heart felt. This day forth, I will nevermore recognize the word forever,I'll simply define it as never

Reason for writing:

I thought about the words of a few songs and how it was related to a past relationship and it inspired me
