I Don't Want To Go To College

by Heather Williams - Libra

"College is so important for your future"
"You'll never get anywhere without education"
The words fly around my head
Working in the job I have now
Making my OWN money
Paying my OWN rent
Making my OWN food...
These things, evidently,
Do not show responsibility to you
As I turn to walk away
Wondering why you
Think I amount to nothing
I remember that it doesn't matter
What you think at all

Reason for writing:

I swear to God I will scream if one more person asks why I am not going to school after graduation. Honestly? I don't have the ambition. So shoot me!
