My Silent Hero Sitting across the room from me, You stare into space. I know there's something more you see, Explain to me this place. In school we talk about them, The Veterans of Foreign Wars. I never really understood, Till now, your eyes become my doors. Through your silence I see the feild, Of love for our counrty in men. Those who the states did yeild, to protect us were never seen again. Your love, your friends, your family, you were with in the start. As guns were fired heroicly, Your very life did part. The memories you embrace each day, The nightmares that you face, Your memory will not let time give way. You are forever in this place.
