Wine And Rock

by E. Alonzo - Sagittarius

Yes, baby, you have made me a man
No longer a boy
I am a man because of you…
For nothing I feel is that of a child's spirit.
I have aged
In wine and rock
With the sweetest of understandings
And the most buried of memories.
The young wishes of conforming to ideal
Of what I should stand for and accomplish
Have circled the earth in seasons
And spawn off a new species of need…
The need to be accepted as is.
That need is the head of the tribe
And commands all other dreams of mine
I am a man, yes,
With all the lack of risk
Creative maturing permeates.
I just want to be found
Pleasing with my granite feet
And bittersweet tongue.
Yes, I am a man
And I need a woman now.
Not a girl in search of a man,
Not someone like you.

Reason for writing:

Girl, you made me grow up, but damn, what is taking you so fucking long!?!?!?!
