My heart lays out in the open
For all of you to see
The wretched lies I tell myself to keep it beating
I've waited here long enough
To tell you that I want some more
Some more of your love
Some more of your needing
Wanting
Craving
You always got through to me
No matter how much I pushed and shoved for you to leave me alone
You sat me there, tied up my wrists
Yelled you're love for me til your voice turned raw
Calling me blind
Naive
Too young to even realise
What I had and what I could get
You stopped me from pulling the trigger
Downing every drug I could find to ease the pain
Drinking my life away
You showed me the true meaning behind love
Taught me how to open up
How to trust
How to be myself
And now you you've confessed your true feelings
You love me even more
But you're scared now
Because I'm not the one you hold
She is.
