To come along
No obligations
No commitments
No apologies
I don't think I can handle it
Being there
Watching you
A voice that doesn't scare
But lifts me uneasily 
Towards a place where I can't be
Forever and ever
I let my mind drift away
To paint all the future
And this night
In the invisible color
Of fear
Always there
Always near
Whenever you call me
Whenever I'm uncertain
And always asking
Why I never cry
You can't understand
My silent litany
To persuade myself
That I can handle it
