Nothing passes through

by Matthias L. - Capricorn

Angrily they haunted you
Their words
Their faces
And everything in it
But now you're safe
Behind a wall
Where nothing passes through

Blinded by a neverlight
Into no fairy's forest
You escaped
To guard a dream
That in a mirror
Is no more
But what is gone
Lives on at least
In memories
Lives on like a fragile shadow
Pursued by the dark

Caretaker of a cemetery
With crumbled walls surrounded
But it's not the "here-and-there" collision
But just a picture of a promised land
That guided by angelic vision
Scares us from passing through

Laughing and raging
That tempest called "mind"
Defying gravity and common sense
This tyrant rules with all the justice
That was delivered to him
In a sugar-coated package
With the ultimate precision
We're all so proud of

A simple lie for the ignorant
So we were told and so we say
They never knew what changed them
And so we started to paint their lives
And taught them how to build
A wall where nothing passes through

Reason for writing:

What people or situations do with us... and a way some of us try to cope with it.
