If You Cant Love Me Now

by Stuart Logan - Sagittarius

If You Cant Love Me Now

Take a look at this world and see what I see
across all the mountains and over the sea
people are fighting for colour and creed
for land and religion for hunger and greed

One per cent of humanity plays with the rest
when the games over how many will be left ?
the push of a button in modern peacetime
will put all our children on the front line

The cattle dont know the farmers ways
out in the pasture they are happy to graze
brothers and sisters we are sheep in the flock
and if we follow so blindly we'll all be prime stock

I stand alone singing my song
maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong
brothers and sisters under one sun
if you cant love me now
please, dont love me when I'm gone
