A few days ago you were gone from me And I didn't even hear you leave At first, I'll admit, I was angry And too upset to open my eyes and see But now I realize my answer is in the wind And you whispered you're always here with me You were supposed to be here thru thick and thin And this I never thought would happen But I have to understand it did And it's no one's fault, no one's sin You might've faded from sight, but not from mind All because of the secret you sent to me in the wind Now I have a secret for you, it's yours and mine You'll always be a part of me and my life You were the best I could ever find And always a friend when no one was in sight When I'm sad I'll think you're here with me And always walking right by my side
