Barefooted
I walk alone
In chunks of rays
In slices of laughing grass-
Along the side of the road
You sit
Harmless
Helpless
Pick you up
Intrigued at first
But then I'm bored
that's how I go
Place the slime ball back down
The grey skies cover me
I look at my hand
You're still there.
Scrap down to the bone
You stick around
There you are.
I pretend to ignore you
Snap my wrist
You're staying put
There you are.
I tap at you
My version of Chinese Water Torture
You move
Just to make yourself comfortable.
There you are.
My last resort?
I cut my hand off.
