Broken Promise
Like the sands of time
You trickled away
Leaving me lost and alone
With a heart
Full of pain
Bonded by a promise
I vowed my loyalty
And the key to my world
I handed to you totally
But shattered by your sins
Your pedestal
Crumbled utterly
I cradle your memory
As I did you once
When the music played
For our final dance
My sun has set
Unleashing the night
Welcoming the darkness
Which I must bear to fight
And shed no tears
For time does heal
To dry away
My tears.
