Dear Heart

Be still my racing heart

take time before you leap,

From one lost love, to another,

For pain and hurts go deep.

for 'twas it not only days ago,

that you could not even sleep 

With memories of happier times,

You thought were there to keep.

Take care dear heart

that if again ... in love  

you should  one day fall,

that you have chosen carefully,

And not given of your all. 

For you dear heart 

did fall in love

and loved for near a year

and where dear heart

did that take you

but to heartache and despair.

But somewhere, out there,

In this world, 

there's a love for you I'm sure,

And when you find it

you will see, that for heartache,

There's a cure.
