Another almost evening
Walking past you
For about the millionth time
Now swelled to the brim
With water, not ice cold, Instead
snow cold-
All alone
I'll stop this once
And lay perpendicular to you
I peer in
I see myself
And think
Ironic situation
Dipping into this swollen stream
Dipping into me
You can't see the bottom
And you never know how deep-
At first, it's cold and painful to the touch
But the longer you sit and last
The better and warmer you think it gets
And you forget
that underneath your skin is turning blue-
A thrill in itself
With another risk of disappointment-
tempted, I touch my reflection...
