Summertime rains fall down on me
Here's to wishing, hoping, praying it'll be
You'll never ever be lucky enough to find
Quite a love that flows so deep like mine

I'll be your protection from the world's sorrows
And be your guide to all the stars and tomorrows
I'll give you new wings when yours are broken
And take away all your faded dreams never spoken

But I'll never steal your heart from you
And keep it just for me to love so true
And I'll never keep you from everything you please
Let you go and let you fly, if that what it means

So I sit here and let the summertime rains fall
Sending wishes and dreams, hoping they'll anwer my call
Maybe someday soon you'll find me for you
And let all the love I have ring true
