The One You Love

by Doug - Libra

The One You Love…

The heart slowly stops in the cold grip of reality
The last breath of love is taken as the wisps of life disappear
The life of the one is now gone
From here, no one can return
We have passed the point of lost love
The depression begins to sink in
It weighs you down like a ton
You struggle to go on
But your body refuses to move from this terrible place
It takes the greatest toll on the body
More than any person could imagine
You want to keep pushing
Past that terrible force
It tears at your soul
Crying for more
Squinting, with eyes tightly closed,
You press on through the pain
It is heavy on your mind and you begin to wonder why it must be done
You begin to lose the will
As your life is taken before your eyes
Smirking and belittling you, as you slowly pass this place
Falling to the ground, you pass though your life
Falling backwards, you look to see all that has troubled you
Pains stab sharply at you
Through blood red eyes they taunt you
Sharp nails ripping at your skin
Trembling at the mercy of the most terrible, you slowly close your eyes
You must leave this place
Must get to where the pain no longer hurts
And the tears do not exist
Past where the hands can reach you
To drag you into the misery
Just out of reach they pull at you
Running madly, you run away
Running to the warmth
Where the hurt is no more
The pain is gone

Reason for writing:

pain is unescapable, you try to run away but you never will win...
