The boy looked at his mother, Her eyes were filled with tears, As she gazed upon him, And hugged him tightly near. He asked her what was wrong, And what that man had wanted. He asked where Father was, And if he was unwanted. Mother said to hush, For what she said was dear. Father wasn't coming home, She whispered in his ear. He didn't understand, Ofcourse he's coming home. He only went to get some bread, He said in a desperate tone. Mother shook her head, And every so sadly she said There has been an accident, ...And Father is dead. The boy was so so sad. He wept for days and days, But slowly it got better, The tears came less and less, And soon he remembered Father, With a smile on his face. For eventually, the pain lessened, And in its place acceptance. Father had moved on. In heaven he did dance. With angels and friends, He dances without end.
