The bitter one hides from the world behind an image an image of a lonely lost little girl searching for a loving mother and an understanding father a man who could say I love you to his daughter so she set out to please him the only way she knew how joined track she knew that was his thing it was all right until you made it into a game a game that she couldn’t afford to lose he lived his dreams to succeed through her..he gave her everything she needed except the one thing that mattered the most’ he never said I love you but he was quick to brag around town how fast his daughter had become She was going to state and they were going to win the trophy so she trained hard everyday trying to please him but it was never enough he pushed harder until she grew to hate the thing that mattered most all the fun was gone and competition for his love became her number one goal up before the sun running so fast his words in her head urging her on make your father proud fate reared it’s ugly head an accident that was far off worse than death it’s self had happen she took a fall busted her knee and needed surgery a hard fall to the ground and a fall off her father’s pedestal she didn’t know which hurt more the look of disappointment in his cold brown eye broke her heart she prayed to God why why did all his dreams for her have to end why did he let this happen her father was crushed for days she stayed locked up in her room lying on her bed with a cast on her leg he often came to visit her but all she could do was cry and ask God why why did all his dreams for her have to end why did he let this happen how was she suppose to gain his love a man who never showed emotion why couldn't he say it just those three little words that mattered so much
Reason for writing:
In high school I was in track just to make my father happy..I loved running but I didnt like the competition he became so competive and he made me hate something I loved I always felt like i was competing for his love..my dad is one of those men that never actually comes out and says I love you
