Betrayed my faith betrayed myself should've thought to wait should've stopped myself Thought I had it all and when it seemed colder never let me fall was my crying shoulder Picked me up (and laid me down) with gentlest touch but soured the ground Through devious eyes ripped it all apart turned those years to lies and broke my heart Now wants back in but from my lips to God's ears I'll not repeat that sin I'll shed no more tears So take your lies and those things you say and your devious eyes and go away
