When we cuddle in some place together When we watch at the sun- rise or the stars When we smile to each other over a cup of hot cocoa When we just lay and talk in the park These are the times when I am happy And I don't want them to stop. When we meet with a hug When we leave with a kiss When we smile to each other When we care how the other person feels. When we argue, when we fight, when we yell I'm really upset but I know it's ok and that it's normal And when we make up-everything will be perfect again. But I can't forget that time, That horrible time And even when I try hard-I can't get it out of my mind. When you lay your hand on me-just this one time, When I ran out of the house-And you hurt me again And when I looked up at you, A mixture of blood and tears streaming down my face You leaned down to me You said you were sorry, that it won't happen again That you really didn't mean what you did And that you feel bad I just had to give you another chance Who wouldn't? You really did look sorry, But I think I'm only saying this to convince MYSELF Because deep down inside I know things have changed And would never be perfect again
