MAKING LIGHT Only when the sky slams shut do I start magicking little holes in the dark, fighting night the only way I know how to move in corners, unseen by all but those to whom I wish to reveal all the inner little workings that occasionally cast shadows over understanding how easy it is just to flow, shake off the friction; fly your sparks, baby, make your light like no other.
Reason for writing:
I like to write poems that incorporate a play on words, something with multiple meanings. In addition, I like to write poems with what I like to think of as the music of words in mind. It pleases me when the reading of a poem flows like a song and the way one word sounds after the next brings an added dimension to a work. In this case, I feel I was writing on the struggles we all face to see things more clearly in our lives and our doubts and concerns about revealing ourselves completely to that big, scary world out there. We're making it, though; slowly shaking off that friction.
