My silent cries My tearless tears The words unspoken Are the words I fear The blade so sharp But I feel no pain I watch my hurts As they drain The cut so deep The wound so real Like the scar The pain won't heal All my thoughts And all my dreams Are full of self hate Or so it seems Behind this wall That I have built Hides my shame And all my guilt Don't get close You can't come in Don't even try You'll never win My guard is up Can't you tell The walls I keep I keep so well These walls are sturdy They will not fall You know me well enough That you don't know me at all
Reason for writing:
I wrote this poem because it was the way I dealt with the pain and sadness. Reason for my pain and sadness is in the first poem I posted here titled, "In Tears I Waited."
