A Trip Inside

by Dan Kleinman - Cancer

A Trip Inside

When life gets hard,
And the world is unkind,
I just take a trip,
Deep into my mind.

It’s a little vacation,
To get away from strife.
It’s just a few miles from reality,
It’s a vacation from life.

It’s a place of sanctuary Islands,
Paradise and more,
It expands through galaxies,
To much to explore.

It’s the place where I go,
When I feel too tired to live,
And I can imagine you,
And all the love that you give.

I see things so strange,
Things I’ve never seen,
Although I think of them myself,
I don't know what they mean.

I can do anything I want,
With who ever I feel,
I can be where ever I want,
Not knowing what is real.

It’s a place where anything is possible,
Nothing to keep you confined,
So why don't you take a trip,
Deep into your mind?

You learn about yourself,
And why you do the things you do.
You’ll learn what you really think,
And what you thought you already knew.

You can learn more from yourself,
Then any scholar could teach.
Just take a trip through your mind,
And the outer limits you’ll reach.

So when life gets hard,
And the world is unkind,
Just take a trip,
Deep into your mind.
