I was born on the day
Of February 17,1984.
I arrived in this world 4 months premature,
And only lived for an hour.
The doctors say I am so small
And there is no way to save me.
I never got to experience the world.
Walk
Talk
Meet friends
Or even be a person.
I will never know what it is to experience love.
Have my first crush,
Then my first boyfrind.
But in its own way,
Thats okay,
Because it is God's plan.
So here I lay in my bed,
With my parents right beside me.
I say goodbye to them,
As they say goodbye to me.
As I say goodbye to the world,
I never got to see.

Reason for writing:
This poem is about my older sister Alisha who was taken from this world only an hour after she was born. I wrote this because it was a class assighnment in the 8th grade.
