when you left

my life was a huge storm,
before you came into my life.
you stopped the rain, ended my pain,
and cut through all my strife.
you held my hand, when it mattered the most,
and never let it go.
you taught me to hold my head up high, 
and never let my feelings show.
all my life lessons,
it seems i learned from you.
you were the only one who cared about me,
and all the things that i went through.
but when you left, i brokedown,
i didnt know what to do.
cause i never encountered more pain
then the day that i lost you.
but now you leave a rainbow,
shining ever so bright.
a reminder of the storm that passed through,
and the sun that brightened up my life.
