I wish I was your mother,
So I could rock you in my arms.
I wish I was a puppy dog, 
So I could win you with my charm.
I wish I was a sailing boat, 
I would rock you back to sleep.
I wish I was a camera,
So these memories I could keep.
I wish I was a wizard,
So I could give you a magic spell,
To make you forever happy,
And always keep you well.
Most of all I wish I was brave enough,
To say this to your face,
To share with you my feelings,
Of life, love and heartache.
