(oooh, la la, da da) sitting in traffic alone yes yet again not gonna look arond, don't know where im gonna find love and when just think about the way life used to be, so simple to grab on to an excuse and wear it like a huge pimple don't know when the end is gonna come sitting up in that damn car like i aint the one spinning around, getting ripped open like im in the lion's lair, why do you care?? i can only say love aint fair im only thinking bout you, don't know how you knew that you're not the one, this rejection seems to weigh a ton and i gotta know, are you really, really gonna show?? and it don't matter, its not there i really think that love aint fair and for all the times that you thought you were living i only took from you, but you knew you were giving and thats the way it seems to be, always about me how well im fed, hey,i should be lucky that i aint dead just enough power to encircle the ivory tower to give a fuck with a tow truck attached to all my love to give my best blessings to the high above and every second second when my heart beats and it jumps out just enough anger with a small shout i want you to understand that every time that i eat a pear im reminded of you and i curse love cause it aint fair only sickness clouds my eyes and i can feel your loving die you think that youre the only one that wants me inside im so tired of lying to you cause i just don't love you i wish i didn't have to say this to you but i do because its true and it don't matter, i don't care its so true that love aint fair and for the way we shook speeding away, avoiding the book and it don't matter, i don't care don't you know that love aint fair be alone forever, in the air, alone, away from me, out of my hair. (music fades out after repeat of chorus)
Reason for writing:
this is based on the rehab song and is a rare poem. it doesn't just get me but all the others who just use excuses
to claim that they can't find love. the spaces are the separate people's speaking
