Water Bearer

by Rica Shay - Aquarius

Water Bearer
I went to the back door,
Standing, stunned by the rain,
It was so beautiful.
Being all wet and heavy,
Making a song only a few could hear.
I wanted to play in it’s beauty,
I wanted to dance with it’s soul.
I could no longer bare it.
I open the door,
And stepped into the magnificence.
The coldness of each drop shocked me,
And I came inside.
There is some beauty that we just can’t have.
And the rain got me thinking,
About how the rain and I are alike.
Our coldness sends people away.
Like when you get out of the car on a rainy day,
And even though you get wetter when you run,
You run anyway.
Even though I don’t want them to get more involved,
They pull threw,
Ripping away more and more.
And I got to thinking,
About how I’m a water bearer.
Maybe that’s why the rain and I are so much alike.

Reason for writing:

I was watching the beauty of the rain one night. I wanted as I said to dance and play with it's beauty. When I went outside though, the rain was so cold and angry. Then, I thought of my own life and about relationships I've had. The rain and I were so much a like and the title water bearer is because of my birthsign.
