I Pretend It Doesn't Bother me

What I'd really love to do
but can not afford to
is fix my teeth and go to the dentist.
That's next on my list.
In the meantime though
nobody does know
the entire time I pretend
it doesn't bother me I have no girlfriend.
Surely no young pretty thing would want to be kissing
a guy with his teeth missing.
Like it or not I pretend I'm happy knowing the rest of my life
she'll never want to be my wife.
