Melancholy (PLEASE PLEASE READ)

by Erica Hughes - Libra

I doubt if anyone understands my frustration,
my aggravation,
my hesitation,
to breathe...the clean air,
or if you have felt my despair,
I doubt that you care...

TURN YOUR BACKS ON ME,

life is a boulder,
layed upon my shoulders,
each year I grow 100 years older,
and the world only grows colder...
Brutal
resistance is futile,
free me, free me,
These words are my tears,
read them and weep for my eternal soul.
or prey on my fears,
I grow old,
I grow weary,
love is a theory,
yet to be refuted,
in a world where compassion is muted.

TURN YOUR BACKS ON ME,

After shedding rivers of blood,
I forgot how to hug,
my soul is a void,
I doubt that you know I'm annoyed,
or that you can feel my despair,
where I can smell,
hate in the air...
my pain is to share,
these words are my tears,
read them and weep,
as I lay on railroad tracks...
pretending to sleep.

Reason for writing:

I wrote next to the title "Please please read) because this poem was written from my heart truly. Right now I am at a spiritual low so read pls lest "love is a theory yet to be refuted in a world where Compassion is muted... smile.
