Sicilia (An Earthly Paradise) I am going to tell about a beautiful place, about the island of Sicily. Long ago humanity invented paradise with unbelievable gardens, sweet singing birds, marvellous trees, warm climate, never setting sun, and of course with satisfied people in it. I dont know exactly, if everyone dreams or strives to be there prematurely, but this legend is living, and most of us hope to be there when it is time, (with the exception of people who dont believe in any wonders) Well, humanity made up this Garden Of Eden, probably never realising about the existence of a real earthly paradise. I would like to say about the island of Sicily. You cannot find another place like this. We arrive in the month of April 99. Fragrance of the orange and lemon trees, fruits flirtatiously peep out from behind the leaves, gentle rustle of the sea, whisper of the rucking up waves stagger me, my imagination. People living here are a creation of the hands of Sun, always shining on Sicilian sky. These people are in love with their soil. Maybe they know that Sicily is paradise in reality. Devoted to their own traditions, treasuring their own language, (they do not speak another tongue). They believe in their own perfection. Incomparable and unique. The sun loves these people as well. It takes care of every Sicilian. Bathing them in tender rays, making them warm, talkative, friendly. In this place you can hear special music characteristic of Sicily. Even if you have no talent to hear the sounds and soul, you can feel the melody from the hearts of the inhabitants. Yes, sometimes church bells have moments of greatness to these melodies, and what can be sweeter than Sicilian folk music, filling with happiness, even the heart of a foreigner. In general to say, I am sure, that there are some present paradises on our planet, and before a journey to 'fairyland, paradise in the sky', try to visit, if only one, on the earth.
