The night is endless as I walk along the beach, the wind blowing softly against my hair. My mind is thinking of you, how much I love you, and how much I love to be near you. The light of the moon softly dances on the water as the waves crash and break upon my feet. As I stand with my body facing the wind, catching every breath of air that passes my way. My future is frightening and such a big gamble, but with you there, I know I can make it.
Reason for writing:
I was walking on the beach one night, waiting for my girlfriend at the time to call me, and to me, the night seemed to drag, and I couldn't stop thinking of the future, for me, her, and us. It all brought me to writing this poem, my love for her, and my fear of the future.
