Dead Weight

by dpy - Taurus

Dead Weight

You learned to walk. You tried to fly.
You threw it all away.
You learned to talk. You longed to scream, but you had nothing to say.
You breathed so hard. You looked so good.
Its too bad you didn't stay.
You were trapped inside of every little thing, but you just couldn't carry the weight.

You smiled so big. You fell so hard.
You just tried to get through the day.
You loved to love. You hated to hate.
You celebrated your own decay.
You always listened. You always cared, but you didn't care enough to stay.
You learned to walk. You tried to fly.
You threw it all away.
