Jesus Wept

by Candece Cooper - Taurus

My savior delivered us all and yet they marched him down to Calvary. Stripped him of his pride and dignity and spat on him for the world to see. Stretched his arms wide as he hung his head low, the people he saved hit him and watched the show. A little voice came to his ears as the tears began to slide, "My darling child: they think it has ended, but it has just begun. Come to me and rest your head on my right arm. They don't understand yet, they don't realize what they've done. Join me in heaven and sit at my right foot. Rule with me above and they'll regret your life they took. Come into the light with your father I say. Go ahead and cry my child, let the tears run down your face." He departed the Earth and went into the skies. Body bruised and nailed to the cross, Jesus wept that day for all the souls he lost.
